Why should I buy from inkClub?

More than 2 million people, across Europe, have chosen to shop at inkClub for ink, toner and other printer supplies.
They have all discovered the advantages of low pricing on ink cartridges, simple ordering and fast deliveries directly to the doorstep.
Printer ink cartridge pricing is frequently debated in the European media and consumers are united in wanting lower prices and more choice.

How can you sell ink cartridges at low prices?

There are big price differences between different types of ink cartridges for the same printer model. The problem is that many consumers still don't know about this, or are advised not to use alternative ink cartridges. inkClub and our two million customers know that this kind of advice is mistaken.

inkClub therefore offers different types of ink cartridges instead of just selling original cartridges at recommended prices from the printer manufacturers. This means we can give our customers in Europe the opportunity to make savings on every purchase.

What different cartridge types are there?

Original cartridges are produced by the original manufacturer (e.g. Canon, Epson, HP, Lexmark). You can always buy original cartridges from inkClub at favourable prices. We aim to offer lower prices than those recommended by the printer manufacturers.

ECO cartridges are original cartridges that are recycled to reduce the load on our environment. The empty cartridge has been collected and sent to a selected factory, where it has been cleaned, refilled and tested to give good printing results. Because the cartridge can be recycled, it is cheaper for the consumer than original cartridges.

Compatible cartridges aren't produced by the original manufacturer, but they work just as well in your printer - at a considerably lower price than original cartridges. Please test this for yourself, and compare the price and quality with the original. inkClub's compatible and ECO cartridges are produced by selected partners with ISO 9001 certification. Suppliers are only approved when they meet our high requirements for good print results. Independent tests in several European digital photography and computer magazines have confirmed our good quality and the big savings you can make using alternatives to original ink cartridges.

Please compare our prices with the printer suppliers' recommended prices. Whichever type of cartridge you require, inkClub's volume purchasing means we can always offer European ink consumers attractive prices. See for yourself what you save!

When I try to order an ink cartridge or photo paper for £ 0, I get a message saying that I've already used the offer, even though I haven't ordered before. Why and what should I do now?

If that happens you can order the discounted item at standard price, then under the "Other" field, at the bottom of the Customer registration page, say you want an ink cartridge or photo paper for £ 0. We will then check your order, and if you're entitled to the ink or photo paper offer we will change your order manually.

I'm trying to order but I keep getting a message that the shopping basket is empty, even though I've put items in it. Why?

This can be due to several things. The most common reason is that "cookies" aren't activated in your web browser. It can also be due to the proxy settings in your web browser.

What is an ECO cartridge?

ECO cartridges are original cartridges that are recycled to reduce the load on our environment. The empty cartridge has been collected and sent to the factory, where it has been cleaned, refilled and tested to give good printing results.

We work in partnership with suppliers who carry out the process to very high quality standards to ensure a good end product for our customers. Because the cartridge can be recycled, it is cheaper for the consumer. You can save money and protect the environment by choosing ECO cartridges.

Is the printer warranty valid when a compatible cartridge is used?

Yes, it is. The Swedish Competition Authority tested the issue in spring 2003. Canon, HP and Lexmark had told their suppliers that the printer warranty would not be valid if the customer used a compatible cartridge. But when the Swedish Competition Authority asked the companies, they conceded that without question the warranty would be valid even if a compatible cartridge was used (case reference: Konkurrensverket mål 251:2003).

What is a laser printer drum?

Some laser printers have a drum that transfers toner from the toner cassette to the paper. After a while, the drum no longer works and must be replaced.

However, other printers have a combined toner cassette/drum. In that case, there is of course no separate drum to be replaced.

Colour laser printers use four drums, one per colour. Depending on the make and model, drums print 3000 to 100,000 pages.

AOL Browser?

Are you using a browser from America Online (AOL)? The AOL client uses varying IP addresses during the same session, which means the shopping basket doesn't work as it should. Please open another web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer or Netscape web browsers) while you still have the AOL client open, and place your order in the new web browser instead (Internet Explorer or Netscape web browsers).
